Order of Service
The final day is here! Guide your guests through the big event in style.
The Order of Service product is designed for the religious ceremony with the hymns, readings & blessings.
The Order of the Day is usually referred to if you are having a civil wedding. The layout may take the form of a short timeline of events throughout the day with details of the civil ceremony where specially chosen vows, readings and music are included and possibly further personalising it by naming the full wedding party. Please ask us for some samples that display this information.
The content of the civil ceremony should be approved by the registrar beforehand (and before going to print) just as the vicar would approve the details of any religious service. Having the details of the service/ceremony printed for each guest/couple allows them to be fully involved in the proceedings and enables them to retain their copy for a memorable keepsake.
What you get
Comprising a folded card, featuring the sketch of your venue with you and your partner’s names underneath together with the name of the church/venue and date/time of the marriage service on the cover. This then provides up to three pages of text which is generally enough for most services. However, if more than three pages of text are required, for those longer services, then you may consider the option that allows up to six pages of text, see below.
This is printed in a colour and typestyle of your choice matching your selection for the corresponding Invitation, on one of our five hand-selected cards in white, ivory and cream and in different finishes.
There are two formats available for the Order of Service:
3 pages – where the Order of Service is printed on a double-sided folded A4 card.
Up to 6 pages – where you have a single-sided folded A4 card cover and with a double-sided card insert (these are stapled together).
We can advise which format will work best once we have seen the content of your service. We appreciate that this product is probably the most detailed item of stationery from our range and we are more than happy to discuss this with you in detail to make sure we get it exactly as you want.
Does your church feature a clock? Let us know the time of your wedding and when we sketch your church we will show the time that you will be getting married to make the sketch even more personal to you! (for commissioned sketches only).
History of the church/venue: On the back of the Order of Service cover we can print the history of the church/venue if you wish. This will give your guests something interesting to read while they wait for the big event to start! As an alternative, why not consider something personal such as how you and your partner met!
The Order of Service or Order of the Day is A5 (148mm by 210mm) when scored and folded.
